The CAT cut-off for IIMs in 2024 is expected to be in the following range:

  • IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Kozhikode: 99–100 percentile
  • IIM Indore: 91–99.5 percentile
  • IIM Amritsar, IIM Nagpur, IIM Sambalpur: 95–96 percentile
  • IIM Trichi, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur: 94–95 percentile 

CAT allows the use of a basic on-screen calculator only. You are not allowed to take in the physical calculator inside the centre. This policy is based on the premise that the CAT examines one’s ability to answer complicated mathematical problems and perform quick mental calculations

Is 70 percentile in CAT good? 70 percentile indicates a moderate level of performance in CAT. While there are several decent B-schools that accept candidates with 70 percentile in CAT, you may also think upon giving another attempt at CAT in case you only want to get into a premier management institute.

For the CAT 2024 examination the total marks are 198. As per CAT marking scheme, each question is worth 3 marks. So, the total marks of 66 questions in the CAT exam are 66×3= 198.
