The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), led by Tejashwi Yadav, has unveiled its manifesto titled “Parivartan Patra” for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar. Here are some of the key promises made by the RJD:
- One Crore Jobs:
- The RJD pledges to provide one crore jobs to youths across the country.
- This includes filling the existing 30 lakh job vacancies and creating an additional 70 lakh jobs.
- The process will begin on Independence Day this year, aiming to free the youth from unemployment.
- Financial Aid to Poor Women:
- On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the RJD promises to provide Rs 1 lakh annually to women from poor families.
- This financial aid aims to empower and support women in Bihar.
- Old Pension Scheme for Government Employees:
- The RJD manifesto ensures the implementation of the old pension scheme for government employees.
- This move aims to address the concerns of retired personnel.
- LPG Cylinders at Rs 500:
- The RJD commits to providing LPG cylinders at an affordable price of Rs 500.
- This initiative aims to ease the burden on households and promote clean cooking fuel.
- Five New Airports in Bihar:
- The RJD promises to construct five new airports in Bihar for better connectivity.
- The proposed airports will be located in Purnea, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, and Raxaul.
- Special Status for Bihar:
- The RJD will advocate for special status for Bihar, addressing the state’s unique needs and challenges.
- Free Electricity:
- If voted to power, the RJD will provide 200 units of free electricity per month to the people of Bihar.
- Implementation of Recommendations:
- The manifesto commits to implementing the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) for 10 crops.
- Additionally, the Mandal Commission recommendations will be enforced in totality.
